New Single “Blooddive” is A Brutal Descent Into Collective Self-Destruction

Ceased Sunfire: Blooddive

Finnish stoner metal outfit Ceased Sunfire release “Blooddive” on Friday the 13th of March 2026. The timing couldn’t be more fitting. This is not a lucky track. It is a reckoning.

The second single from the band’s upcoming second album opens with a command “Rise!”, and then immediately drags you under. The bitter irony is the point. “Blooddive” is a study in collective destruction: the people around you who claim to be in it together, right up until the moment they accelerate your fall.

“There’s something dark about how we rally around each other on the way down,” says vocalist-guitarist Ale. “You think you’re building something together… Then realize the extra hands were never there to help, in fact the opposite. And by the time something monstrous has grown behind your back, it’s already too late.”

Musically, “Blooddive” is Ceased Sunfire at their most ferocious. Their 2023 debut The Divide earned 4/5 from Inferno Magazine. The second album goes deeper and darker, and “Blooddive” is proof they’ve found something genuinely dangerous down there.
